Joseph and Mary Meehan are the Uncle and Aunt of Joseph, Lucy, Edward and Catherine Sheil.

A few Thoughts as per finding's from the 1900-1930 US Census Records, 1 birth certificate and 1 marriage certificate.

We know from Joseph Sheil's Birth Certificate and the marriage certificate of Joseph Sheil to Maeve Walpole that James Sheil and Catherine Maher are his parents.

1900; Joseph Sheil lived with his Aunt and Uncle

1910: Joseph and Lucy Sheil lived with the same Aunt and Uncle .

1920: Catherine Sheil lived with them as well.

1910: Edward and Catherine Sheil lived in an Orphanage in Peekskill, NY, just north of New York City.

Joseph Meehan passed away during the 1920's because in 1930, Edward Sheil was living with his Aunt, Mary Meehan who is listed as a widow. At this time, we are not sure when Mary Meehan died or what her maiden name is.

Theory, Their parents James and Catherine Sheil passed away between the birth of Catherine in 1903 and the 1910 Census. The website Italian Genealogy suggests per the New York City Death Index that Catherine died on April 03, 1904.

Since Joseph, Lucy, Edward and Catherine Sheil all lived with their Uncle Joseph and Aunt Mary Meehan at various times during the 1900,1910, 1920 and 1930 Census, I believe they are brothers and sister.
